Chapter 14 I Don’t Drink Cola
Peterson was baffled. “Even if you grew a few centimeters, you shouldn’t be able to dunk like that.”
He couldn’t do something like that himself!
“This is the result of training. I feel light and full of energy,” Fox said thoughtfully.
“Could it be because your last name is Jordan?” Peterson furrowed his brow, thinking his good buddy might have unlocked some basketball talent.
“It’s just a coincidence. Don’t overthink it,” Fox said, patting Peterson on the shoulder.
It was 2004, and Jordan had just retired, ending a legendary career. The hype was still quite strong. Peterson had probably grown up watching Jordan play basketball..
Afterward, Fox played a few more rounds with Peterson. Some male classmates, feeling annoyed, also came over to challenge him, turning it into an impromptu tournament.
In the last PE class of high school, Fox played basketball and defeated all the other boys in his class. He put down the basketball and sat with Peterson, both drenched
in sweat.
Fox looked at his hands and smiled dumbly. What high school boy hasn’t fantasized
about this?
Outstanding exam results and impressive athletic skills. In his final month of high school, he worked hard to change himself, and he achieved these goals.
During the previous mock exams, his results shocked the teachers. Now, he was defeating his classmates in basketball. These were things he had once fantasized about. Having a second chance at life, he made up for these small regrets.
And dunking in front of his female classmates, eliciting screams, was something he had also fantasized about. Although he was mentally an adult, being in a teenager’s body, his spirit gradually shifted to a more youthful state.
He had never felt so wonderful. Everything seemed perfect. Once he got into MIT, his life would completely change.
He was very tired, having single–handedly defeated all his male classmates, but he was in a great mood. Then his expression suddenly changed.
Jenny and Rocco were approaching. Those annoying ghosts instantly ruined his good mood.
Chapter 141 Don’t Drink Cola

Jenny had a bottle of cola and smiled at Fox. “Fox, your basketball was amazing. Are you thirsty? I bought you a drink.”
Her eyes carried a hint of arrogance. In her mind, Fox was still just a silly puppy under her command. The puppy was throwing a tantrum now, but if she gave him a treat, he would return to his old self.
And recently, he had indeed been performing well. His mock exam scores were good, and now he had beaten all the boys in basketball. Although he wasn’t ready to compete with the basketball team, she looked at Fox with new respect. His handsome appearance and sunny disposition deeply attracted her. Not to mention his fit body; he was wiping sweat off his abs with his shirt.
Jenny stared for a moment, then regained her composure. Rocco was also a bit
mesmerized. Fox actually had his charm.
“Sorry, Jenny, I’m not thirsty,” Fox said, his expression unchanged.
“Hey, Fox, Jenny bought this just for you. What’s with your attitude?” Rocco immediately shouted.
“My mom told me to drink less cola,” Fox said dismissively.
“You’re too much!” Rocco stomped her foot, feeling that Fox was being
unreasonable.
“Fox, if you don’t want it, never mind. Peterson, would you like it?” Jenny offered the cola to Peterson, a sly look in her eyes.
Fox, you want to play hard to get? Fine, if I make a move on your good buddy and tease him a bit, will it strain your relationship?
Fox found Jenny’s actions puzzling. He hated her deeply, but now he realized she was just a high schooler. Watching her childish tactics, he felt she was foolishly cute. He wanted to laugh.
“No thanks, I’m not thirsty,” Peterson said, hooking his arm around Fox’s shoulder.
Good buddies understand each other; no way a girl could come between them. In fact, Peterson had seen through Jenny a long time ago. In the future, he became a top salesman. To excel, you need more than eloquence; you need keen insight and emotional intelligence.
Peterson might not excel academically, but he handled relationships brilliantly.
Hearing Peterson’s reply, Jenny was furious. She stomped her foot and turned away. Fox laughed, and Peterson slapped his thigh, equally satisfied.
Chapter 141 Dout Drink Cola
“Want to play some more, Peterson? It’s our last PE class; we can go all out,” Fox said, standing up.
“Sure, buddy. Let’s try an alley–oop,” Peterson said, picking up the ball.
They began performing, with Peterson throwing the ball and Fox jumping high to slam it into the hoop. The crowd of classmates cheered.
Jenny watched, feeling bitter. Somehow, Fox’s brilliance left her feeling uneasy.
“Rocco! What are you staring at?” Jenny glared at Rocco.
Rocco had been staring at Fox, lost in thought. “Nothing. Jenny, you sure you don’t like Fox, right?” Rocco asked cautiously.
“I don’t like him, but he’s still my puppy. What are you up to?” Jenny asked suspiciously.
“Nothing,” Rocco replied with a smile.
At that moment, two people walked into the gym.
“Fox, I got you some water,” a girl with glasses called out.
Her voice was soft, but Fox heard it. He put down the basketball and walked over. Jenny felt like she was going crazy.
